Joined Oakland University in December 1987, Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty, University of Alabama in Huntsville, 1969-87; Visiting Professor with the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands (1994 and 1989); Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (1987); ENSEM in Nancy, France (January/July 1985); consultant with Ford Motor Company; He is the editor and author of "Systems Modeling and Computer Simulation”, Marcel Dekker (1993) New York; Fellow for the Society for Computer Simulation; President of the American Automatic Control Council (2000-2001), member of IFAC Committees: "Education” and "Theory”; Technical Committee on "Systems Engineering & Education”; Working Group on "Intelligent Systems in Manufacturing”, member of the American Society for Engineering Education; Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society; Chairman of IEEE Control Systems Society Technical Committee on Industrial Systems (1992-93); member of the editorial board of the Journal on Computers and Electrical Engineering.

Systems Engineering Methodologies; Pole-placement Problems; Decentralized Control; Adaptive Control; Advanced Modeling and Computer Simulation Techniques; Computer-aided Design of Control Systems and their Applications; Mechatronics Systems.
