EDUCATION

 

Graduated from Vienna University of Technology in 1966, Dept. of Mech. Eng.; Special field: Automatic Control; until 1985, Assistant Prof. for Control in Mechanical and Chemical Eng. at Vienna University of Technology. In 1971 Cum-laude doctors degree in control. 1986-1990 Professor, Systems Eng. and Automation in the Dept. of Computer Sciences at University of Linz, Austria; since 1990 Head of the Institute for "Handling Devices and Robotics", Vienna University of Technology; President of the Austrian Society for "Systems Engineering and Automation", SAT.

 

Since March 1985 General Secretary of the IFAC/Austria, 1988 - 1995 Scientific Supervisor of the Scientific Academy of Lower Austria, 1995 Doctor honoris causae at the Technical Universities of Iasi, Bucharest and Craiova, corresponding member of the Saxonian Academy of Sciences, member of AKATECH, Senior member IEEE, Founder of the Central European IEEE Chapter "Engineering Management", National Coordinator of IFR, National Coordinator of IARP (Austrian representative in JCF)

Process and Manufacturing Automation (Robotics), Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Postgraduate Education.
